11 Apr Bargain Cabernet Tasting
Sunday, April 14
1 to 4pm
At the Bar
We like a bargain wine as much as anyone. Stop in this Sunday to taste a couple of our favorite Cabernets that we have found. Inexpensive wines are a dime a dozen, but really good ones can be tough to find. Everyday drinkers if ever there were ones, we are confident that these will find a spot in your weekday rotation.
2016 Crusher Cabernet Sauvignon, California
On Sale $9.99
This Cali Cab is actually a really interesting blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petite Sirah, 9% Merlot and 1% Tempranillo! We instantly fell in love the big nose of this humble, little gem. The aromatics are driven by blackberry, ripe fig, toasted cedar and hints of bitter chocolate. Firm and mouth-coating tannins with notes of dark caramel and graham cracker from the blend of 50% French Oak, 50% American 70% New, 30% Seasoned oak aging. Delicious and fun!
2016 Magnolia Court Dorrian Cabernet Sauvignon, California
On Sale $10.99
Sourced from grapes grown on the warm producing areas of California, this expressive Cabernet Sauvignon seamlessly integrates fruit characteristics of blackberries and plum with an elegant yet powerful structure. Fresh dark fruits and a hint of vanilla carry through to the palate, rounded out by hints of cassis. Can be enjoyed on its own or paired with meaty entrées.
