2014 Château Puy Boyrein Blanc, Graves AOC, Bordeaux
On Sale $16.99
“Sauvignon Blanc 50%, Sémillon 30%, Muscadelle 20%. Pale white gold color. Lemon and lime peels, white flowers and white pepper all give a bright, focused personality. The wines of Graves typically never lack in depth or density and this is no exception. Classic!”
Jason Main, The Wine Merchant, LTD.

2014 Les Charmes Godard Blanc, Francs Cotes de Bordeaux AOC, Bordeaux
On Sale $17.99
“This is superb. It has the density and richness of a top Burgundy with sliced pears, honey and minerals too. Full body and tangy acidity. Amazing sémillon here! Try it.”
92-93 Points, James Suckling

2012 Château Tour du Haut-Moulin, Haut-Médoc AOC, Bordeaux
On Sale $19.99
“Consistently one of the great cru bourgeois wines of Haut-Médoc, this blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot has a saturated purple color to the rim and a big, sweet kiss of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit followed by licorice, incense and background earth and oak. Impressively endowed, fleshy and rich, this over-achieving property once again comes through with a wine that performs well above its humble pedigree. This beauty should drink well for 10 or more years, possibly up to 15. This is a major sleeper of the vintage.”
89+ Points, Robert Parker

2012 Les Pelerins de Lafon-Rochet, Saint Estèphe AOC, Bordeaux
On Sale $26.99
“Cabernet Sauvignon 55%, Merlot 40%, Cabernet Franc 3%, Petit Verdot 2%. Bright, ruby red color. Subtle on the nose with a wonderful aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, black olive, pepper, leather and licorice, with a whiff of fresh herbs that carries through on the palate. In the mouth. Full, long tannins coat the palette. This wine is typical of St. Estephe with excellent length and good ageing potential (10+ years).”
Jason Main, The Wine Merchant, LTD.

2010 Château Haut de la Bécade, Pauillac AOC, Bordeaux
On Sale $39.99
“48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc. Garnet red in color. This over-looked estate is located between the famous estates of Château Lynch Bages, Pichon Longueville Baron and Pichon Longueville Comtesse and shows much of the same pedigree as its neighbors! Black cherry, cassis, spices and licorice on the nose. Rich and spicy, with very good depth of flavor and complexity. Complicating hints of forest-y aromas and tobacco. As is expected with wines from Pauillac it’s full bodied, and ripely tannic on the finish.”
Jason Main, The Wine Merchant, LTD.

2011 Manoir de Gay, Pomerol AOC, Bordeaux
On Sale $32.99
“100% Merlot. Concentrated purple color. The neighbors to this estate are none other than Chateau Pétrus and Vieux Château Certan! This is simply a knock out Pomerol. The wine exhibits fabulous black and blue fruits intermixed with notions of graphite, charcoal, truffle, and incense. A kaleidoscopic earthy notes really take this over the top. It’s tough for me to see this as a “second” wine when it smokes a lot of others top wines. Medium to full-bodied, deep, and lush with a great balance between acidity and tannin. Classic!”
Jason Main, The Wine Merchant, LTD.

2009 Château La Tour Blanche La Tour Blanche
On Sale $22.99, 375ML
“The 2009 La Tour Blanche has a gorgeous, botrytis-rich bouquet with lemon thyme, honey and spice, with just a touch of alcoholic warmth denying it the clarity it deserves. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry with notes of apricot and white peach emerging with a few swirls of the glass. It offers a pleasing viscosity and volume in the mouth, although compared to its barrel showing, it appears to have tightened up more than I expected, possibly a sign that it is a wine in for the long haul.”
