Cap Royal is back! And now we’re bringing in the Cap Royal Blanc, its delicious counterpart, along with some other exciting value Bordeaux. Bordeaux is such a great region, turning out some of the finest (and most expensive!) wines on the planet, AND impressing us year after year with some of the best value wines we come across.

2014 Cap Royal Bordeaux Superieur
On Sale $12.99
We discovered this wine at the famous second growth Château Pichon-Longueville in Pauillac. It’s made by the same folks and really over delivers. It’s a stunning example of the often overlooked category of Bordeaux Supérieur. Classic aromas of crème de cassis, red and blue fruits and toasty oak spices. Buy it by the case and it even comes sealed in a wooden crate!

2012 Chateau Thieuley Rouge, Bordeaux AOC
On Sale $12.99
The basic cuvée, the 2012 generic Bordeaux is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is a major overachiever, with supple tannins, lots of sweet black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, an enticing texture, medium body, and a complete mouthfeel. This is a juicy consumer’s treasure that can be drunk now or cellared over 3-4 years. This wine delivers significant pleasure and quality for its humble price.

2015 Cap Royal Bordeaux Blanc
On Sale $12.99
We love the dry white wines of Bordeaux! They are some of the finest examples of Sauvignon Blanc out there. A touch exotic on the nose with passion fruit, citrus, and that classic grassy note that adds welcome complexity. We can see it aging a few more years based on the quality of the 2015 vintage but drinking it now with seafood or aged goat cheeses is delicious too.

2015 Chateau Saint Germain Blanc, Bordeaux AOC
On Sale $9.99
Hailing from the Entre-Deux-Mers this is a very unique wine with a very floral and tropical nose of orange, pineapple and passion fruit. The 50% of Semillion in the blend really comes out on the palate giving it a very silky finish. Serious bang for the buck!
