Multi-Vintage Marc Hebrart “Cuvee de Reserve” Brut, Champagne 1er Cru AOP
On Sale $49.99
Pretty floral and spice aromas lead to ripe crushed cherry and peach fruit flavors on the palate of this mouthwatering, elegant Champagne. Well-knit and lacy in texture, with toast, citrus and chalk accents lingering on the finish. Disgorged September 2017. Drink now through 2021. 500 cases imported.

Multi-Vintage Chartogne-Taillet “Sainte Anne” Brut, Champagne AOP
On Sale $49.99
The NV Brut Sainte Anne is a gorgeous wine, as it so often is. Pliant and inviting, with superb textural richness, the Sainte Anne shows Alexandre Chartogne’s style off to great effect. Dried pear, chamomile, mint mad dried flowers are some of the many notes that run through this super-expressive Champagne. This release is a 50/50 blend of 2015 and reserve wines, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, also in equal measure. Disgorged: December 2017.

Multi-Vintage Mouzon-Leroux & Fils “Réserve L’Atavique” Brut, Champagne Grand Cru AOP
On Sale $65.99
The NV Verzy Grand Cru Brut Réserve L’Atavique displays a bright citrus color and opens with a clear, lemony and mineral bouquet on the very honest and chalky nose. This is a 60/40 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and the first attack shows brilliant flavors of Pinot Noir on the subtle and elegant palate, which quickly reveals its piquant purity and very firm structure. The wine, which was partly fermented in small barrels and underwent malolactic fermentation, is bone dry and develops a long, chalky, salty finish.

Multi-Vintage Aubry Brut, 1er Cru Champagne 1er Cru AOP
On Sale $44.99
The NV Brut is a gorgeous entry-level offering. The flavors are brisk and finely cut in this chiseled, crystalline Champagne from the Aubry brothers. Pear, green apple, lemon oil and white flowers add to an overall impression of brightness and tension. Aubry’s straight NV Brut is once again one of the very finest wines in its peer group. I rarely miss a chance to drink it. The current release is a blend of 50% 2014 and 50% reserve wines, with a bit more Meunier in the blend than is the norm. Disgorged: June 2017.

2014 Forth “Rebecca’s Vineyard” Cabernet Sauvignon, Dry Creek Valley AVA

High in the steep, sun-washed, rocky vineyard named for our daughter, Rebecca, the vines struggle, producing low yields and small berries. The resulting wine is elegant and sophisticated, complex, and immensely pleasurable.

Erupting from the glass are big aromas of ripe blackberry, raspberry, boysenberry, strawberry and mocha. The subtle notes violets, sun-baked quartz and cured black olives add incredible dimension to this wine. Mouth-filling, hedonistic and head turning flavors of black and purple fruits are framed by sweet, velvety tannins. Yum!
