Maysara Tasting

02 May Maysara Tasting

Saturday, May 4
12 to 4pm
In our Event Space

Join the crazily charming Naseem Momtazi of the Maysara family to taste a crazily good set of wines from Oregon! These are some of the best Oregon wines being made, in our opinions, emulating the style of fine Burgundy! All grapes are sourced from the family’s own Momtazi Vineyard. These are some seriously good wines, so don’t miss this event!

NV Maysara Sparkling Pinot Noir Rosé,” Momtazi Vineyard, McMinnville, Oregon
On Sale $25.99
A joyous celebration of rosy bubbles explode into the glass, heralding a great galloping rhubarb chariot! This wine is not afraid of flaunting a bravado that is not usually associated with Pinot sparklers. Deftly crafted richness and texture slide over the palate, in waves of fruit that crest with refreshing acid. Certainly hefty enough to pair with foods often reserved for bigger reds, it is also agile enough to respond well to lighter fare as well as anything fried!
Winemaker’s Notes

2018 Maysara Pinot Blanc “Autees,” Momtazi Vineyard, McMinnville, Oregon
On Sale $16.99
A slightly richer style of the Pinot Blanc grape, tending towards ripe fruit notes of apricot and even lychee. The floral scents in the nose are honeysuckle alight on a cool breeze. The upright acidity beckon you back again, with ample minerality on the dry, clean finish. Stellar with the firmer cheeses, fresh, ripe fruit and subtly herbed seafood.
Winemaker’s Notes

2018 Maysara Pinot Gris “Arsheen,” Momtazi Vineyard, McMinnville, Oregon
On Sale $15.99
A bright expression of fruit right up front, greeting your palate with notes of cut grass on a warm day. The wine is anchored by crisp acidity, but not so much as to overpower a fleeting tease of sweetness that leaves you smiling. Arsheen has a smart, refreshing character that will bestow clarity to a range of preparations of fish, fowl, and pork.
