NV Jacques Pelvas Brut Blanc de Blancs
On Sale $9.99
Very pale yellow colour with green glints; complex nose with delicious bouquets of citrus fruits (lemon and grapefruit), of fruits (peaches) and, small white flowers. In the mouth, a lot of freshness; a very harmonious wine with good persistence.
2017 Clement & Florian Berthier Sauvignon Blanc “Le P’tit Berthier”
On Sale $12.99
This beauty was grown on pure limestone (or calcaire as the French would say) and strikes us as a dead ringer for a wine from a more prestigious appellation like Sancerre or Pouilly-Fume! Pale gold in color, this 100% sauvignon blanc has all the classic aromas of white flowers, ripe citru,s and a touch of exotic fruits. It’s fresh and loaded with mineral-y goodness and floral aromas. In the mouth you’ll find plenty of quince, tart apple, and pear. The wine is elegant and crisp with great balance. Perfect with quiche, goat cheeses, and smoked fish!
2017 Domaine des Cassagnoles Reserve Selection “Cuvee Gros Manseng,” Cotes de Gascogne
On Sale $11.99
This is a tremendous value and a NEW staff favorite! It’s produced from a very obscure varietal, Gros Manseng. Made in the heart of Armagnac country and from all estate fruit, it’s vinified and aged in tank. This offers intense, exotic notes of ripe mangoes, white peach, and melon. Medium-bodied with good texture as well as a crisp, dry and long finish.
2016 Anne Amie Vineyards ‘Cuvee A Amrita,’ Willamette Valley AVA
On Sale $10.99
The 2008 Amrita Cuvee A is an effervescent blend of five aromatic varieties with a dollop of Chardonnay. Melon and fruit cocktail aromas are enticing leading to a spicy, savory, dry, complex wine with peachy Viognier notes emerging on the palate. This attractive effort is a winner! A PERFECT pairing for a holiday feast.
2015 Domaine La Berangeraie “Cuvee Juline,” Cahors AOP
On Sale $13.99
This Malbec-dominant blend (In the Cahors AOP, a minimum of 70% is required) has just a touch of Merlot, bringing a wonderful complexity. Its rich palate exudes cherry, licorice, and wildflowers, with sweet tannins and a mouth-coating finish. The Cahors region, located just East of Bordeaux, is known for its uniquely dark version of Malbec, almost black in color, earning the name of “black wine” for its regional wines.
2016 Diversion Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley AVA
On Sale $8.99
This full bodied Cab is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cab Franc. Aromas of black currant, blackberry and black cherry complemented by subtle oak. In the mouth loads of ripe black cherry, dark raspberry and dark chocolate. This is made in an easy drinking forward style that’s fun and boosted by easy, chewy tannin. This wine shows great ripeness without any cooked-fruit flavors, which is impressive for an entry-level bottling!
