Join us to taste two special bottlings by Old Forester Bourbon! These two bourbons are labeled 1870 and 1897 respectively, denoting the concepts behind their production processes. Sample them both!
Old Forester 1870 Original Batch, 90 proof
This homage to George Garvin Brown’s original batching process is a blend of three barrels from three different days of production, put through a minimal filtration process as the bourbon was made back in the 1800s when it was conceived. Notes of baking spice, shortbread, and a touch of citrus on the palate.
Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond, 100 proof
This bottling was designed as a tribute to the US Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. Per the act, it is produced from one distillation season, from one distillery. Notes of rich fruit, spice, oak, caramel, and vanilla on the palate.
