In our Event Space
Join us this Saturday as we taste and explore many of the OLDEST vineyards in the USA! This tasting will feature wines from vineyards so old they’re not even sure what exact grapes are planted there. This is a do-not-miss tasting for fans of Zinfandel and its kin, from some of our favorite American producers.
2015 Carlisle Proprietary White Wine “The Derivative,” Sonoma County AVA
On Sale $26.99
This is yet another stellar vintage of this unique blend, a mix of Muscadelle, Sémillon, Colombard and Palomino. Floral as a garden brimming in gardenia, it’s dry and gravelly, with distinct flavors of quince and melon. Light on its feet, it’s well worth seeking.

2017 Marietta Cellars Rose “Old Vines,” Sonoma County AVA
On Sale $13.99
Marietta’s 2017 Rosé Old Vine is terrific. Aging in neutral oak, with lees stirring, adds a good bit of textural resonance to play off the crisp fruit. The Rosé is a blend of 50% Syrah and 50% Grenache.

2017 Bedrock Rosé “Ode to Lulu”
On Sale $19.99
Vivid orange-pink. Vibrant, mineral-tinged strawberry, orange zest and rose scents, backed by a subtle anise element. Taut and minerally on the palate, offering juicy citrus fruit and red berry flavors that deepen slowly on the back half. Nicely concentrated yet lithe in style. A refreshingly bitter citrus pith note clings on the bracing, persistent finish.

2015 Marietta Cellars Zinfandel “Roman,” North Coast AVA
On Sale $19.99
Floral cedary aromas and big berry-soaked flavors come together on a smooth but appropriately tannic texture as this full-bodied wine drenches the palate with blackberry and boysenberry richness. It combines power with complexity and has the grippy texture needed to carry all that ripeness. It was blended with 11% Petite Sirah and 5% Barbera.

The 2015 Zinfandel Estate is fabulous. Juicy, pliant and quite giving, the 2015 is impeccably balanced, not to mention flat out delicious. The flavors are resonant and delineated in this juicy, flavorful wine from Limerick Lane. A burst of sweet red cherry, plum, hard candy and mint add the closing flourish.

From the famous Sonoma Valley site farmed by the same family since 1895, this includes 6% Alicante Bouschet and a touch of Petite Sirah from nearby Rossi Ranch (another of the producer’s vineyard designates). 2016 Bedrock Wine Co. Proprietary Red Wine “Bedrock Heritage,”
