Red Burgundy Bargains!
The humble Bourgogne is often slighted by the reputation of less scrupulous negociants from Burgundy. There are very fine wines to be had though. Some producers, like the ones featured here, only work with fruit from well respected villages and their Bourgogne is simply a combination of prestigious villages blended together. Pick a case of some of these great wines to drink in the near term.
2013 Pierre Andre Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes-de-Nuits
On Sale $14.99
Classic red Burgundy from the land of Pinot Noir. Cherry and light strawberry mingle with a touch of earth on the nose. The palate follows with more cherry and notes of spice and freshly turned soil, leading to a smooth finish.
2014 Nicolas Rossignol Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Craig Baker, Importer
2014 Perrot-Minot Bourgogne “Vieille Vignes”
On Sale $34.99
The 2014 Bourgogne Vieilles Vignes has a very respectable bouquet within its class — lifted strawberry and cassis scents — simple but effective. The palate is nicely balanced, just a touch of hardness in the second half to contend with, but showing decent weight and presence. It deserves six months in bottle after release.
