2014 Brovia Roero Arneis, Piedmonte, Italybrovia roero
On Sale $24.99
Pale, bright yellow color. Ripe, juicy, aromas and flavors of lemon and lime zest, apple, crushed stone, licorice, mint and wild herbs. This has great richness for arneis! More than just an aperitif wine, this would be amazing with fish (especially sushi) and grilled chicken.

2011 Château Soucherie Savenniéres “Clos des Perriéres”, Loire Valley, France
On Sale $34.99
Bright golden yellow. Exotically perfumed bouquet of apricot pit, floral honey and wild herbs. Broad and supple on the attack, then tightens up toward the back of the palate, offering fleshy stone fruit and herb flavors. A late kick of clove carries through the sappy, persistent finish. With only 13% alcohol, this is a nicely restrained interpretation of this vintage in Savennières.

2014 Domaine Cheveau Mâcon Solutré-Pouilly “Sur le Mont”, Burgundy, France
On Sale $20.99
Deep gold color. Knock-out nose of white flowers, apricots and baking spices. I love the richness this wine has. It’s flavors of golden apples, melons really make this drink great now but as is typical with white Burgundy it certainly could age for a few year to gain even more complexity. The minerally, dry finish make for a very long finish. Classic!

2013 Domaine Jean-Marc Pillot Bourgogne Rouge “Les Grandes Terres”, Burgundy, France
On Sale $22.99
This one comes from 60+ year old vines right outside of Chassagne-Montrachet. Pale garnet in color. Notes of spicy wild herbs, fresh red berries and cracked pepper. We looooove this little Bourgogne! This is what this region is all about. Tart red fruits, elegant acidity and just a touch of tannin. Serve this with some of our cheeses and pâté for a great happy hour this weekend!

soucherie rouge2011 Château Soucherie Anjou Rouge, Loire Valley, France
On Sale $17.99
Deep ruby, almost purple in color. Smoky black cherry on the nose, and an peppery Rhône like Syrah character. This is a great medium bodied red that is perfect for spring time. I’d toss this in the fridge for a nice chill and serve it with grilled lamb! Cabernet Franc forms the backbone of this wine (90%) but is blended with a touch of Grolleau (10%). Only 5,000 bottles were imported this year.

2011 De Forville Barbaresco, Piedmonte, Italy
On Sale $29.99
The vines are planted exclusively within the confines of Barbaresco and are scattered among various “crus”, including Rabaja and Pozzo. The average age of the vines is 35 years. This wine is emblematic of the work done at the De Forville estate: the wine is rigorously traditional, marrying the finesse of Barbaresco with the alluring aromas and flavors of truffle, earth, berries, rose, tar and leather and carrying, most important of all, a backbone of sweet, dusty tannins that give length and breed.
