2009 Jean-Luc Dubois Beaune 1er Cru “Cent-Vignes-Cuvee Unique”
“Another new selection and a seriously seductive premier cru.  “Cent Vignes” claims more stony soils than does “Bressandes” and as such is a lacier, more ethereal wine with pin-point balance and very fresh, precise flavors.  Earthy, rich aromas of autumn leaves and mushrooms mix with a saturated, ripe layer of fresh red berries; the mouth is long and frothy, with more berries and baking spices.” -Importer’s notes

2009 Jean-Luc Dubois Beaune 1er Cru “Bressandes”
“Of our two premier cru selections, “Bressandes” is the more concentrated, with its chalky brown, sandy soils giving Pinot Noir more texture in the mouth.  Salty-sweet notes of plum sauce and bright cherries show on the nose.  Complex, juicy layers of plums and smoked beef on the palate; there’s lots of spice and endlessly silky Pinot purity.  A gorgeous wine and one that will reward well in the cellar, too.” -Importer’s notes

2009 Bruno Clavelier Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru “Les Hautes de Beaux Monts”
“A spicy, fresh, cool and relatively high-toned nose of both red and blue pinot fruit leads to nicely rich and round middle weight flavors brimming with minerality on the focused, fleshy and delicious finish that retains a good sense of verve and precision.” -Rated 88-91/100 Points, Allen Meadows. 2009 Bruno Clavelier Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru “Les Hautes Maizieres”
“55+ year old vines situated right below Suchots. This is even spicier and slightly riper as well with ripe and elegant aromas of red berry liqueur cut with cassis notes that carry over to the fleshy, rich and distinctly generous flavors that evidence dense and firm tannins that are a good deal less fine though the finish is both highly complex and impressively long. Also recommended.”

2009 Cecile Tremblay Morey St.-Denis “Tres Girard”
“This is more expressive with a perfumed nose of red currant, iron-infused earth and a slightly animal note that can also be found on the generous, supple and concentrated flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration and a sophisticated mouth feel on the impressively persistent finish. This is not an elegant wine but I like the frank character and overall sense of balance. Worth a look.” -Rated 89-91/100 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound.com

2009 Cecile Tremblay Chambolle-Musigny “Les Cabottes”
“We’re very excited about this new offering from Cecile Tremblay. This is a new cuvee accessed from three separate lieux-dits in Chambolle-Musigny, (Les Echanges, Les Fremières and Les Maladières) The vine age is from 10-75 years old and only 2700 bottles were produced.” -The Wine Merchant, Ltd
