2016 Giovanni Almondo Arneis “Bricco Cilegie” DOCG, Piedmont
On Sale $24.99
There are allot of Barolo producers that make exceptional Arneis and they source their fruit from a very special village for Arneis named Monta in the Roero region of Piedmont. That is exactly where Giovanni Almondo Winery is, Monta. Single Vineyard fruit makes this stone fruit and tropical noted Arneis something truly special. Packed with accents of Asian pears and fine minerality balanced with creamy textures that lead to a hint of almond.
2016 Badia Di Morrona Chianti “Caligiano” DOC, Tuscany
On Sale $10.99
Badia Di Morrona or Abbey of Morrona was established in the 1083 by Benedictine Monks and the Winery is the oldest in Pisa. This is a more modern style of Chianti that doesn’t demand food but is incredibly versatile with many dishes and easy to take to any occasions. Ripe red fruits and soft earthy fruit tannins. We love this aromatic and deep colored Sangiovese. Ready to drink now, before dinner hits the table!
2015 Mastrojanni Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Tuscany
On Sale $26.99
Ok it’s not as big or rich as their flagship Brunello di Montalcino but….it IS as charming and, more importantly, it drinks beautifully young! We also think this will easily age for the next 4-5 years. It spent about 7 months in large (5,400 liter) Allier oak barrels. Bright ruby red in color, aromas of red cherries that are complemented by baking spices and earthy goodness. The palate features red fruit, herbs and a savory, spicey finish. This is a fresh and vibrant expression of sangiovese with fine tannins. Wonderfully food friendly, it will drink beautifully for 3-4 years. This is an excellent wine to pair with stews, roasts, meat pastas, and more. This Rosso is a true value and a first class wine.
2013 Mastrojanni Rosso “San Pio” IGT, Tuscany
On Sale $34.99
A sleek, elegant style, this evokes cherry, currant, toast and smoke flavors. Tightly wound, staying balanced and fresh throughout the lingering finish. Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. Drink now through 2023. 1,083 cases made.
