It’s a double header tasting this Saturday with wines of California and Scotches from Bunnahabhain!
Big California Wines
We’re focusing on California wines that Dad will love! Full-bodied whites and bold reds will help to prepare your palate for the whisky tasting across the room!
2016 Stolpman Estate Roussanne, Ballard Canyon
On Sale $22.99
This wine starts with a creamy nose of apricot, banana and orangesicle but then a more oxidative quality comes through of slightly sour guava and pineapple. It’s tight and tart on the sip, combining banana, guava and macadamia nut richness with grapefruit peel sourness. It’s an interesting and unique wine.

2016 Rombauer Chardonnay, Carneros
On Sale $34.99
Rich and creamy, with seductive vanilla-scented oak that adds texture and nuance to the solid core of green apple, pear and melon flavors. Drink now. 200,000 cases made.
92 Points, The Wine Spectator
2016 Merry Edwards Pinot Noir “Sonoma Coast”
On Sale $47.99
Balanced, elegant and graceful, this wine’s focused aromatic complexity glides evenly onto the palate. A flashy mouthfeel offers racy acidity, a perfect foil for the mellow, smooth tannins. The finish is lasting and sustains its fresh impression throughout.
2015 Neal Family Vineyards Zinfandel “Rutherford Dust,” Napa Valley
On Sale $25.99
This Zin is made of organically grown grapes from a single vineyard, with a dollop of Petite Sirah for structure. It’s a delicious, spicy Zinfandel full of dark fruit. Aged in large Hungarian oak barrels, you get a mix of berries, baking spices, sandalwood, cedar, and licorice on the nose. Dark cherry, blackberry jam, pepper, and black tea come through on the palate, with ripe tannin and bright acidity that leads to a long finish. This is a great example of what Zinfandel tastes like when grown in an exceptional vineyard site. Awesome stuff.
2015 Von Strasser Cabernet “Rudy,” North Coast
On Sale $23.99
“Rudy” is named for the founder of the winery, Rudy Von Strasser. He’s been making this signature cuvee for over 25 years and the quality never wavers. It has bright red fruit, fine tannins, and good acidity. Von Strasser is known for bringing out the nuances of the terroir in its wines and this namesake wine is certainly no exception.
2014 Von Strasser Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain
On Sale $43.99
Attractive currant and berry character with flower and fresh herb undertones. Medium body, fine tannins and a delicious finish. Subtle and supple. Drink or hold.

We’re PUMPED about this Dad-centric Scotch tasting featuring our new custom barrel of Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair along with four other expressions of Bunnahabhain! Special guest Averon Edwards will be here to guide us through a tasting of these artisan Scotches. As a special treat, we will also have a few super limited releases available for pre-order.
To create Stiùireadair Kirstie, our Blender, has selected first and second fill sherry casks with spirit of varying ages and warehouse locations to construct a dram that truly exposes the coastal nature of the Bunnahabhain single malt whisky. Whilst not losing the sherry influence everyone knows and loves in the famous 12 year old, Kirstie has instigated a costal storm in Stiùireadair.
Bunnahabhain 12 year
Our 12 year old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was the beginning of our Bunnahabhain range, launched to fanfare and praise alike. Taste the origins of Bunnahabhain with an alluring balance of sweet fruit, nuts, vanilla and a delicate coastal influence.
Bunnahabhain 18 year
A rich mahogany Single Malt Scotch Whisky, this is one of the Bunnahabhain family favourites. It is intensely warming; with dried fruit, sherry, toffee and spices leading to a delicious honeyed nuttiness and the slightest hint of sea salt.
This limited batch Bunnahabhain Ceóbanach pronounced ‘kyaw-bin-och” and meaning ‘smoky mist’ from the Scot’s Gaelic, was created to reflect the intensely peated origins of Bunnahabhain single malt Scotch whisky back in the late 19th century. Matured in ex bourbon casks for over ten years, you’ll find complex layers of flavor in this natural un-chillfiltered single malt. Bunnahabhain Ceóbanach-an inspired dram, evocative of times long past.
This single malt embraces a powerful proposition; a unique variation on the famous gentle taste of Bunnahabhain Islay single malt Scotch whisky. What if a touch of smoke from our peated malted barley was introduced in the distillation process? Toiteach (pronounced “Toch Chach”) means “smoky” in Gaelic, reflecting the seeming contradiction that this peaty paradox represents.
