NV Gruet Blanc de Blancs “Sauvage,” New Mexico
On Sale $14.99
100% Chardonnay. No Dosage. Gruet Sauvage NV is a bone-dry sparkler, pale straw in color with a delicate but persistent mousse. The minerally aromas and flavors of bright citrus pair well with oysters, sushi and cream sauces.

2015 Von Winning Sauvignon Blanc Dudesheim “I,” Pfalz, Germany
On Sale $32.99
The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc I has an intense citrus color and opens with a deep and concentrated nose of ripe tropical fruits, lemon peel and crushed stones. Full-Bodied, intense and concentrated on the palate, this a powerful, firmly structured and elegant wine. It has an aromatic finish and fine tannins. The 2015 is pretty round and generous, already accessible to drink. It is rather a Graves than a Loire character, but the lingering fruit aromas are Pfalz at its best.

2015 Patricia Green Reserve Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon
On Sale $23.99
Deep red. Expansive red berry and floral pastille scents and flavors show impressive energy and pick up a hint of smokiness as the wine opens up. Smooth and fleshy but lively as well; a late jolt of white pepper adds spicy bite. Generous but vibrant in character, finishing very long and sweet, with gentle tannins lending shape and subtle grip. This wine delivers exceptional bang for the buck.

2015 A to Z Wineworks Pinot Noir “The Essence of Oregon,” Oregon
On Sale $22.99
Lightly prickly tannins surround a sleek, supple core of raspberry, cherry and floral flavors. A hint of savory spice adds to the gentle finish. Best from 2018 through 2022.

2015 Evesham Wood Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon
On Sale $18.99
Although the Willamette Valley bottling is our least expensive and largest production bottling we put just as much of ourselves into it as our top cuvées. Vineyards such as Illahe and Mahonia who Evesham Wood has been working with for decades make up the bulk of the blend along with Jubilee and Sojourner, two vineyards in the Eola Amity Hills we’ve had the recent pleasure to start working with. Those grapes are fermented in small lots and punched down twice a day. This vintage of the WV blend shows a bright nose with cherry, earthy mushroom and a slight creamy/silkiness that’s balanced by juicy acid. Showing well now, watch this wine evolve over the next 3 months to 5 years.

2013 Domaine Serene “Evenstad Reserve” Pinot Noir, Yamhill-Carlton, Oregon
On Sale $62.99
“(57 percent new oak) Limpid ruby-red. Oak-spiced red berries, cherry and licorice on the fragrant nose, along with hints of vanilla and musky herbs in the background. Sweet and lively in the mouth, offering juicy raspberry and cherry cola flavors that unfold and slowly put on weight with air. The vanilla and cola notes recur on a long, gently tannic finish that’s given snap by a late jolt of tangy acidity.”

Table Two: Portugal!!!

2015 Caves Alianca Vinho Verde, Portugal
On Sale $7.99
Pale white gold color. Tropical fruits and lime zest on the nose. This is classic Vihno Verde! Low in alcohol (great for day drinking!) and just a touch of spritz makes this a wonderful spring and summer wine. We love to pair this with salads, Vietnamese (Mai Lee anyone?) or tangy fresh goat cheese.

2014 Quinta do Casal Monteiro Margaride’s White, (Tejo) Portugal
On Sale $9.99
The Chardonnay in this blend dominates, giving a rich, generous feel to the wine, full of ripe plum and peach flavors. The Arinto provides fresh acidity that is behind the warm fruits. Full and generous, it is a wine that needs to age; drink from the end of 2016.

2016 Ponte Vinho Verde Rosé, Portugal
On Sale $7.99
Crazy good, fun and super drinkable are just a few descriptors we use to describe this awesome, yummy dry rosé from the Vinho Verde region of Portugal! Fresh, ripe strawberry on the nose with crisp and spritz-y finish….a total quaff. We pair it with sushi, spicy grilled pork and grilled fish.

2015 Merino Red Blend, Alentejano, Portugal
On Sale $8.99
A blend of Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Trincadeira. This wine drinks well above its price, with plenty of ripe, red berry flavors and a tannic backbone with a hint of smokiness, earth, and spice on the dry finish. Awesome stuff here!

2013 Quinta da Garrida, (Dão) Portugal
On Sale $8.99
A lithe red, with a rich array of spice and red fruit flavors accented by powerful notes of hot stone. Hints of violet, forest floor and green herb linger on the finish. Drink now through 2019.
90 Points, Wine Spectator

2013 Herdade de São Miguel Ciconia Reserva Red, (Alentejano) Portugal
On Sale $16.99
This ripe and structured wine is poised between rich berry fruits and a solid, dark tannic core. It has great fruitiness that envelops the dry center, showing wood and spice flavors that are coming together well. Drink this fine wine from 2018.
