We have great stocking stuffers including a perennial winner from importer Eric Solomon, the Gassier Nostre Pais Red!

2012 Gassier Nostre Pais Red Costieres de Nimes, France
On Sale $15.99… Lowest price online!!!
My favorite vintage of this cuvee to date. A blend of 50% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre and the balance Carignan and Cinsault, it was fermented with 25-50% whole clusters and aged half in 1-2 year old demi-muids and half in concrete tanks. Gorgeous black raspberry, cassis, licorice, wild herbs and crushed flowers all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, seamless and thrillingly pure 2012. Possessing fantastic complexity, freshness and textured, it’s an incredible wine from this often overlook appellation.

2013 Tenuta del Cerro Manero Rosso, Tuscany

VIAS Imports….Aromas of flowers, dried cherries follow through to a full body, soft tannins and a savory finish. Really delicious.

2012 La Valentina Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Italy
On Sale $12.99
Fascinating aromas of dried fruit, orange peel….full bodied with soft tannins and a long flavorful finish. Decadent now, should drink well for several years.

2012 Tommasi Poggio al Tuffo “Rompicollo,” Toscana
On Sale $14.99
Dark bright red. Amarone-like opulence on the nose and in the mouth, with a raisiny nuance to the ripe, soft red cherry, sweet spice and herb aromas and flavors. So velvety and opulent I would have tasted it in Veneto had I tasted it blind, but it’s so well balanced and smooth that it’s pretty irresistible. Finishes long, with lush, smooth tannins and a hint of residual sweetness. Amarone lovers will love it.

2012 Teso la Monja Romanico, Toro, Spain
On Sale $14.99
The 2012 Romanico is aged for six months in a combination of new and used French oak. Malolactic is done in oak, and the result is full-bodied, opaque purple-colored wine with superb richness as well as lots of blackberry, charcoal and cassis intermixed with licorice, new saddle leather, pepper and bouquet garni.

At $18.99 this is a very cool wine imported by Eric Solomon from Macedonia!

“I loved these wines from Eric Solomon… full-throttle, decadently styled wines that remain beautifully drinkable and balanced.”

2011 Tikves Barovo, Macedonia
On Sale $18.99
A blend of 65% Kratosija and 35% Vranec (both indigenous grape varieties) that was aged half in new barrels and half in concrete tank… inky black in color, it offers decadent aromas and flavors of blackcurrants, earth, melted licorice, chocolate and ripe herbs. Made in a pedal-to-the-metal style, with full-bodied richness, layers of sweet fruit and no hard edges, it’s a smoking value to drink over the coming 3-4 years.
93 Points, The Wine Advocate
