2016 Domaine Guillemard-Clerc Bourgogne Blanc “Les Parties”

“Les Parties” is an exceptional vineyard located in the village of Puligny-Montrachet. The wine’s very perfumed nose displays juicy tropical fruits, white flowers, and calcaire. Hints of spicy oak continue through the finish. The grapes are harvested by hand, sorted, and go directly from the press into barrel for alcoholic fermentation. The result is a range of fine wines noted for their precision.
2015 Domaine des Granges Macon-Fuisse “Vers Cras”

Yannick is painstaking conscientious in the vineyard so he can bring is fully ripe and spotless grapes. Nothing goes into the vat that he wouldn’t put in his mouth. All the vineyards are sustainably farmed in order to protect the environment, and only indigenous yeasts are used to ferment. Everything is done to obtain a wine as natural as possible. The Vers Cras is fermented 100% in 350L barrels. The vineyard Ver Cras is considered among the top sites in the appellation; 250 meters elevation planted in calcaire. This is a blockbuster Chardonnay presenting super ripe baked orchard
fruits and sweet vanilla toasty oak. The wine is powerful, extracted and dense with lots of class.
2014 Domaine Poulleau Bourgogne Rouge

Domaine Poulleau is a lovely 7.3 hectare Domaine located in Volnay. The Domaine was created by Michel Poulleau in 1950 and today is diligently managed by Michel’s son Thierry Poulleau and his wife Florence. These wines represent classic terroir and fruit focused wines. Thierry is very judicious with his use of oak, always respecting the individuality of the parcel’s terroir. The 2014 Bourgogne is 100% declassified Cote de Beaune fruit; planted in 1986; aged in 2-5 year old barrels. Bright cherry fruit with hints of underbrush and tree bark in the nose. Elegant with medium weight on the palate, good mineral and spice attack. Loads of ripe cherry fruit, spice and nice length.
2014 Domaine Guillemard-Clerc Beaune 1er Cru “Les Coucheriens”

Finding any volume is difficult here as the Domaine only owns 10 hectares divided between 15 appellations & 17 parcels! This single vineyards Burgundy is reserved and pure. The cool climate fruit really shines through on this. An intense nose offers up notes of Ranier cherry, red berry fruit, earth and wet stones. There is so much going on with the utterly delicious and fleshy flavors where the supporting tannins are clearly much finer than those of a typical Beaune, all wrapped in a classy, pure and refined finish. A classic Burgundy of style and grace that should repay 5+ years of cellar time.
2015 Domaine Confuron-Gindre Nuits-Saint-George

This a very special wines from a small and excellent Domaine based in the famous village of Vosne Romanee. Today the domaine farmes a total of 11 hectares with about 50 different small parcels. The wines here all have purpose and are classic, extremely compact, soil driven wines that will reward the patient. The Nuits-St.-George comes from a total of 1.5 hectares, aged in 20% new oak for 18 months; only 16 barrels made! Saddle leather and sage undergrowth in the nose, fresh, vibrant fruit with great focus rose, tea, violet, ripe red cherry fruit, toasty oak & precision calcaire drive through the end.
2015 Domaine Gerard Seguin Gevrey-Chambertin “Terroir du Domaine”

The domaine can trace its roots back to the mid 1800’s where Alexis Seguin was a winemaker in Gevrey Chambertin as well as an expert in grafting vines. The phylloxera crisis allowed him to showcase his talents and was one of the first and certainly a pioneer in Burgundy grafting the vines to American rootstock to fight the disease. 100% barrel (40% new oak). Sourced from various parcels located on the Morey St Denis side of Gevrey; Wonderful aromatics of cassis, leather, toasty oak and spice. Great refinement sweet red cherries with hints of savory meat and spice, hints of with rustic tones. Lots of power and drive through the finish with grace and power.

On the gusty side of the spectrum, with roasted espresso and ganache notes coating a core of dense plum, black currant and fig fruit flavors. Shows muscle and cut through the finish, which smolders pleasantly. Rock-solid. Best from 2017 through 2025. 200 cases made.
