90 Points, James Suckling
2015 Chateau Mazetier, Bordeaux AOC
On Sale $8.99
This medium to full-bodied, luscious blend is mainly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of both Cabernet Franc and a splash of Malbec. The nose is aromatic with loads of red fruit (think red cherry and ripe raspberry) and notes of cassis and spice. On the palate, more dark cherry and lavender with a note of mineral and a soft, elegant finish. This is one of the best steak frites wines we’ve got!
2016 Diversion Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley AVA
On Sale $8.99
This full bodied Cab is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cab Franc. Aromas of black currant, blackberry and black cherry complemented by subtle oak. In the mouth loads of ripe black cherry, dark raspberry and dark chocolate. This is made in an easy drinking forward style that’s fun and boosted by easy, chewy tannin. This wine shows great ripeness without any cooked-fruit flavors, which is impressive for an entry-level bottling!
Plus a surprise Bordeaux selection TBA!
