2016 Mayu Pedro Ximenez, Elqui Valley, Chile
On Sale $13.99
The 2016 Pedro Ximenez is very floral and fresh with great acidity, a white from very old vineyards in Elqui on decomposed granite soils. This is fresh, somehow austere and very tasty. Different, with its personality, and really affordable.

2013 Tonel 46 Malbec, Valle de Uco, Argentina
On Sale $12.99
The lively color of the 2013 Tonel 46 Malbec speaks about a fresh wine with good acidity. The fruit is sourced from the zone of Chacayes in Tunuyán in the Uco Valley. The wine matured in second-use French oak barrels and its aromas are still quite obvious, but the concentration of fruit and the notes of ripe cherries, plums and blueberries intermixed with some violets are also strong. They also are noticeable in the palate, where you feel a lot of licorice. The tannins are very smooth and it has good freshness. I’d like to see how this evolves in bottle, as I believe it will get better over time.
