Join us this Friday as we welcome Sheridan Winery’s “Big John” Caudill for TWO great events featuring new releases from one of Washington’s best! Kick off with an open house tasting from 5 to 7 (stop in anytime!), and continue with a four-course dinner in our event space catered by our neighbors, The Crossing!

2014 Sheridan Chardonnay “La Belle Blonde,” Yakima Valley

The 2014 La Belle Blonde is 100% Chardonnay and has a gorgeous nose of butterscotch, fresh peaches and hazelnut praline. Full and lush on the palate with a silken, creamy texture. Stunning flavors of caramelized pear, spice cake and toasted almonds throughout. Finishes with a beautiful minerality and vibrant, fresh fig component. Serve lightly chilled and decant for 1-2 hours before enjoying.
2013 Sheridan “L’Orage,” Proprietary Red, Yakima Valley

What should be another solid vintage for this cuvee, the 2013 L’Orage (75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc) offers plenty of oak, lead pencil, graphite, tobacco and sweet blackcurrant-like aromas and flavors. It shows the more elegant, focused style of the vintage, has medium to full-bodied richness and a layered, seamless texture. While I think it will drink nicely on release, it should benefit from short-term cellaring as well.

The 2014 Mystique is a Cabernet dominated blend and has a dark garnet hue with a purple rim. An incredible, exotic nose of framboise, triple berry cobbler and vanilla explode out of the glass. Big and creamy with layers of blackberry. blueberry and Chinese 5 spice attack the palate. Absolutely luscious and intoxicating now and will only get better with 2-3 more years of cellaring. Enjoy now through 2024.
