More about Giovanni Almondo Wines:
Considered by many as Roero’s finest producer of premium quality wines, the winery of Giovanni Almondo has been in operation since 1980. Steadfastly dedicated to the presentation of terroir and focused in key cru sites long owned by the family, the majority of the estate’s production is dedicated to a pair of Arneis that are both fresh and elegant. The smaller vini rossi program is similarly focused in a cru setting, with plots of Barbera and Nebbiolo that are consistently creating flawless, modern wines that are firmly structured but pleasing and drinkable. A force in Piemontese wines with which to be reckoned and prized by wine critics throughout Italy and the world over, these are superior wines that are not to be missed!
2014 Giovanni Almondo Roero Rosso DOCG

Another gorgeous wine, positively bristles with energy and pure class. Sweet red berries, rose petals and minerals are some of the many notes that are woven together in this pointed, focused wine

2014 Giovanni Almondo Barbera Valbianchera
On Sale $29.99
Valbianchera is striking in its beauty. Freshly cut flowers, dark red berries, spices and French oak all come together in this intensely vibrant wine. Deep, layered and perfumed

2014 Giovanni Almondo Roero Bric Valdiana
On Sale $44.99
A more feminine side of Roero Nebbiolo takes shape in the 2009 Roero Bric Valdiana. An expressive core of sweet red berries, roses and spices flesh out in this gracious, mid-weight wine. Firm yet silky tannins frame the long, perfumed finish.

2013 Giovanni Almondo Roero Riserva DOCG
On Sale $52.99
Roero Riserva Giovanni Almondo bursts onto the palate with a heady melange of black cherries, French oak, licorice, smoke and incense, all of which come to life in a sumptuous style that is immensely appealing. This is very much a big, powerful style of Roero, but it works beautifully.

Aromas of cut grass, crushed tomato vine and stone fruit come together in the glass. The vibrant palate doles out passion fruit, raw white peach, pink grapefruit and a celery note alongside refreshing acidity.

Crushed raspberries and black cherries all over the palate. Frizzante and just enough sweet and tannin combined for pure cheek-to-cheek grinning.
