30 Aug Italy Tasting Sun. 9/2
Piedmont and Tuscany Tasting
Sunday, September 2
1 to 4pm
At the Bar
Sunday from 1 to 4, come sample lip-smackingly delicious Italian reds! When you hear Barbera, you might thing Alba, but if you ask an Italian where to find the best Barbera, they’ll tell you Asti! And the 2015 vintage in Chianti is one for the history books, the one we’ve been waiting for!
2016 Elio Perrone Barbera d’Asti “Tasmorcan,” Piedmont 14
On Sale $17.99
Offering saturated aromas and flavors of boysenberry, blueberry and spicy oak, this effusive red shouts from the rooftops. Balanced in an exuberant way, with fine length. Drink now through 2020. 4,000 cases made.

2015 Ricasoli Chianti Classico DOCG “Brolio,” Tuscany 16.5
On Sale $18.99
The 2015 Chianti Classico Brolio is a very pretty, gracious wine with lovely fruit purity and terrific balance. Sweet raspberry and floral notes give the wine freshness and aromatic lift. Soft, open-knit and silky, the 2015 has much to offer. I would prefer to drink it sooner rather later. Dollops of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon complement the Sangiovese nicely.
