Meet Olivier Masmondet, the winemaker for the legendary Domaine Louis Jadot!!! While you might only know Jadot from the wines you find in the grocery store, this tasting will focus on their domaine wines, all from the spectacular 2015 vintage!!!

2015 Domaine Louis Jadot Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume
On Sale $43.99
The 2015 Chablis 1Er Cru Fourchaume is matured 50% in stainless steel and 50% in oak barrels with 15 months on the lees. Tasted blind, incidentally, I felt that it was showing too much oak on the nose and this occluded the terroir expression, that sense of Chablis austerity that marks its best wines. The palate is rich and quite honeyed, slightly buttery in style. It’s a Chardonnay that has plenty of flavor; however, it’s not one you would pin down as a Chablis. Commercial in an unabashed way, it is an extravagant, delicious Chardonnay rather than a great Chablis.

2015 Domaine Louis Jadot Chassagne Montrachet Blanc
On Sale $61.99
The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet Villages is more successful than its Meursault counterpart this year. It has a pleasant, simple, tropical-tinged bouquet with wild honey and brioche scents developing. The palate is well balanced with a soft, slightly yeasty entry with good acidity and fine salinity on the finish. This comes recommended.
The Wine Advocate

2015 Domaine Louis Jadot Cote de Beaune Villages
On Sale $33.99
This rarely used appellation comes from outlying vineyards of the Côte de Beaune. The wine is soft and juicy although some firm tannins will allow it to age. It will be attractive and fruity from 2021.
Wine Enthusiast

2015 Domaine Louis Jadot Gevrey Chambertin
On Sale $61.99
Cherry, menthol and tobacco flavors highlight this sleek red. Densely textured and firm, with a strong grip on the finish. All the elements are there, but this needs time to integrate. Best from 2021 through 2035. 3,000 cases made.

2015 Domaine Louis Jadot-Domaine de Gagey Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Drazeys
On Sale $75.99
A fresh and attractively layered nose is comprised by notes of various red berries, lilac and lavender plus a hint of earth. There is good volume and vibrancy to the delicious yet firm middle weight flavors that possess just a hint of rusticity on the solidly complex finale.

2015 Domaine Louis Jadot-Chateau de Jacques Morgon Cote de Py
On Sale $33.99
Deep vivid ruby. Vibrant aromas of black raspberry, cherry cola and violet pick up allspice and licorice nuances with air. Juicy, concentrated and subtly sweet, offering bitter cherry and dark berry flavors that become deeper and sweeter with air. The floral note comes back strongly on the impressively long finish, which features sneaky tannins, lingering spiciness and a touch of vanilla.
93 Points, Vinous
