New Red from Maury

14 Oct New Red from Maury

Mas Amiel Maury

The wines of the Maury appellation are awesome. Trying to sell the wines of the Maury appellations, well, that’s less awesome. This is a lonely spot near the Mediterranean Sea dedicated to the Grenache and Syrah grapes. Over the next few months we’ll be highlighting some of the great wines that hail from this region. There will be a lot to enjoy, from very rare, old dessert wines to today’s feature! This is on par with many of the best Chateauneufs out there and at a fraction of the cost. The 2015s are already drinking very well.

2015 Mas Amiel “Vers le Nord,” Maury Sec AOP
On Sale $24.99
The 2015 Maury Sec Vers Le Nord is a killer red that’s made from Grenache and Syrah, raised all in concrete tank. Notes of lavender, Iris flowers, plums and hints of blueberries all give way to a full-bodied, supple, very pretty, even exotic red that has supple tannin and good freshness. Drink it over the coming 5-7 years.
