25 May Paso Robles Tasting
Sunday, May 28
1 to 4pm
At the Bar
Sunday we’re featuring two delicious wines from Paso Robles, a Central Coast appellation between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Paso is quickly becoming one of California’s premiere regions for both Bordeaux and Rhone varietals, and this tasting features one of each. The Tablas Creek is owned by the makers of Chateau Beaucastel, one of the most famous producers in the Rhone.
2015 Daou Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles
On Sale $26.99
The straight 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon should be another outstanding vintage of this cuvee and it has full-bodied richness, beautiful concentration and lots of dark chocolate, plum and smoked herb aromas and flavors. It has more obvious structure than the 2014 did at this stage as well.

2012 Tablas Creek “Esprit de Tablas,” Paso Robles
On Sale $52.99
A big, explosive wine, the 2012 Esprit de Tablas is warm and ample on the palate, very much in the style of the year, yet there is plenty of power lying in reserve. In 2012, Syrah plays a larger role than in both the 2010 and 2011, which is felt in the wine broad, expansive personality. This is going to be a fascinating Esprit to follow over the coming years.
