12 Aug Red Bordeaux Tasting
Sunday, August 14th
At the Bar
Come to the Merch this Sunday to sample some of our best buy Bordeaux. If you were at last week’s tasting of inexpensive Cabernets, this is a prime opportunity to see what the French are doing. Bordeaux is the largest wine producing region in France. When you taste a Cabernet from anywhere else in the world, this is where they learned what Cabernet should taste like.
2010 Chateau Cassidouce, Cotes de Bordeaux Blaye
On Sale $10.99
Classic Bordeaux from a great vintage! Ripe, with good dark fruit, it sails across the palate with silky tannins. Pair it up with a well marbled cut of meat, prepared simply with a dash of salt and pepper and a little pan sauce.
2012 Chateau du Vieux Montpezat, Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux
On Sale $12.99
The Château du Vieux Montpezat has a lustrous red color that is wonderfully enticing. There are very pleasant fruity aromas on the nose that continue on the palate. 2012 Chateau Chantegrive, Graves
