Bordeaux Tasting

Sunday, August 14th
1-4 P.M.
At the Bar

Come to the Merch this Sunday to sample some of our best buy Bordeaux. If you were at last week’s tasting of inexpensive Cabernets, this is a prime chantegriveopportunity to see what the French are doing. Bordeaux is the largest wine producing region in France. When you taste a Cabernet from anywhere else in the world, this is where they learned what Cabernet should taste like.

2010 Chateau Cassidouce, Cotes de Bordeaux Blaye
On Sale $10.99
Classic Bordeaux from a great vintage! Ripe, with good dark fruit, it sails across the palate with silky tannins. Pair it up with a well marbled cut of meat, prepared simply with a dash of salt and pepper and a little pan sauce.
Merch Notes

2012 Chateau du Vieux Montpezat, Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux

The Château du Vieux Montpezat has a lustrous red color that is wonderfully enticing. There are very pleasant fruity aromas on the nose that continue on the palate. This is a delicious wine with a voluptuous structure. The Château du Vieux Montpezatis aged for 12 months in 1/3 new oak barrels and 2/3 in tanks.
Importer’s Notes
