2015 Red Car Rose of Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
On Sale $19.99
This is a gorgeous, light-colored rose of Pinot Noir with alluring aromas of white flowers, and classic flavors of wild strawberries, tangerine oil, pink grapefruit, Bing cherries, and rose petals.

2013 Red Car Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast
On Sale $34.99
From some of the coldest Chardonnay vineyards in California, this bottling expresses the flavors of the grape that are often masked by oakiness and weight in warmer weather versions. It’s then aged in 97% neutral oak to preserve the grape’s character. This beautiful wine is reminiscent of white Burgundy: flavors of lemon crème and wet stones, with a wonderful balance of acid on the finish.

2013 Red Car Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
On Sale $34.99
This sustainably-produced, cool climate Pinot Noir is a blend of grapes from seven vineyards, aged in 90% neutral oak for low tannins and high acidity. Made with native yeast fermentation, it’s naturally low in alcohol (13.7%). On the palate, there’s a lovely mixture of rose petals, orange rinds, and raspberries.

NV Marietta “Christo” Lot #3 Rhone Style Red Blend, California
On Sale $16.99
This is my favorite of all of these wines – a wine of exceptional purity and intensity and plenty of character, as this one is 70% Syrah and the rest the other three grapes. It tips the scales at a lofty 15.3% alcohol, but it’s well hidden behind a cascade of blackberry and cassis fruit, roasted meats, steak tartare, licorice and Provençal herbs. It’s a big boy, and that’s exactly the way they want it. This wine should drink well for 7-8 years, but it’s meant to be consumed in its exuberant youthfulness.

NV Marietta “Arme” Lot #2 Bordeaux Blend, California
On Sale $19.99
Armé has chewy, rich, concentrated flavors of classic black currant, cherries, smoke and earth, with fine tannins and a long structured finish. The nose elegantly combines aromas of spice-box, green olive and black licorice.
Winemaker’s Notes

NV Marietta Old Vine Red Lot #63, California
On Sale $11.99
Dominated by Zinfandel, but also containing Syrah and Petite Sirah, it’s always meant as a boisterous, exuberant Mediterranean-style red, the likes of which are easy to find in parts of Spain, Southern Italy and Southern France. The oak is pushed back to a minimum, and the NV Lot 63 includes wine from four vintages: 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, which makes these blends about two years of age. It’s an amazing value and has been in every rendition. Deep ruby in color, with notes of pepper, grilled or roasted herbs, steak tartare and briary, delicious black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, the wine is well-made, medium-bodied, supple and luscious. They produced about 60,000 cases, so availability is terrific and the wine capable of lasting 4-5 years, if not longer.
88 Points, The Wine Advocate
