Multi Vintage Claude Manciat Brut, Cremant de Bourgogne AOP
On Sale $16.99
This Crémant is grown on 22 hectares of clay and limestone. Fermented with native yeasts, and raised entirely is steel. A stunning rosy, gold color, surprisingly copper hued. Notes of hazelnut, brioche & lemon oil. Toasty and loaded with honey, citrus zest, and almonds. A stunning example of traditional method blanc de blancs from great dirt.
2017 Domaine Confuron-Gindre, Bourgogne Aligote AOP
On Sale $14.99
All of the fruit for this gem is from Gevery-Chambertin & Vosne-Romanee. Sourced from vines with a minimum age of 50 years. 100% tank with whole cluster pressing. Loads of melons and mineral. Super fresh with bright & racy acidity. This is so fresh and fun. A “do not miss” kind of wine!
2018 Aubert Lefas Bourgogne Blanc “Les Grandes Carelles”
On Sale $19.99
50% barrel (10% new oak) 50% tank. 90% whole cluster fermentation; sourced from Pommard; Big, juicy, fruit cherry nose with loads of forest floor, grilled meats and earth. The mouth is bright and concentrated with cherry, mushroom, underbrush and smoked herbs and a long finish.
2018 Aubert Lefas “Les Grandes Carelles,” Bourgogne Rouge AOP
On Sale $19.99
Elevage in wood with 10% new American oak. 70% whole cluster fermentation. Subtle wood aromas, that are very well integrated. Aromas of raspberry and cherry that is backed up by great Pinot whole cluster spice…peppercorns, brown sugar and fresh herbs. Finishes with silky tannin and an earthy “baby Pommard” elegance.
2017 Domaine Jeannot “Vieilles Vignes,” Maranges AOP
On Sale $22.99
From a plot of 70 year old vines with all elevage in wood, 25% new French oak. The nose opens immediately with raspberry jam and a pretty sappy, spicy note as well. Has a great mineral note adding to the nose. Lean and mean with the calcaire shining. Shows a cooler side of Pinot flavors that are very true to Burgundy. I love this.
2017 Domaine Gerard Seguin Gevrey-Chambertin “La Justice”
On Sale $59.99
From vineyards on the Domaine property planted 80 years ago situated close to the Le Chambertin Grand Cru. Raised in 30% new wood. Ripe, plush blackberry and spice aromas are abundant but this is heading towards shutting down for a while. This has depth and great levels of structure and tanin. While it is in need of a few years in the cellar the rewards will be huge.
2016 Domaine de Rosiers Côte-Rôtie “Drevon”
On Sale $49.99
Seductive notes of char, smoke and chocolate mingle into ripe but restrained black cherry and raspberry in this wine. It’s tight but densely concentrated, anchored by racy acidity and firm, finely spread tannins. Hold till 2020. It should open with a few more years cellaring and should develop nicely through 2030.
