2012 Araldica “Alasia” Barolo DOCG, Piedmont
On Sale $36.99
“Barolo! The king of Italian wines. 100% nebbiolo. Deep garnet color with just a hint of pink at the edge. Dark plum, leather, rose petal, violets and a smoky, woodsy note all wrapped up in brown spices on the nose. Full bodied with fresh acidity. Great balance with ripe tannin, complex savory flavors and a long finish”

2013 Araldica “Alasia” Barbaresco DOCG, Piedmont
On Sale $24.99
“If Barolo is the king then Barbaresco is the queen! 100% nebbiolo and this too is a deep garnet color. Much more reserved on the nose and a little reminiscent of Burgundy. Ripe black fruit aromas with some savory herbs, violet and great spice notes on the nose. Complex with black cherry, brambly fruits. Silky, elegant with refined tannin and edgy acidity.”

2013 Tenuta Sant’Antonio Scaia Paradiso, Valpolicella
On Sale $16.99
This fascinating wine is an Amarone style red blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Notes of cherry and berries on the nose lead to a palate of candied red fruits, spicy black pepper, licorice, and cocoa. Soft and supple on the palate.
