Two Awesome New Burgundies

15 Apr Two Awesome New Burgundies

We’ve been in a love affair with the wines of Burgundy since before we can remember. Once you begin to appreciate the Burgundy style, nothing else compares. These are two outstanding buys that are currently at the top of our “drink this” list.

2016 Domaine les Hauts de Milly Petite Chablis AOP
On Sale $16.99
100% stainless steel! It’s our opinion that Chablis should NEVER see new wood! With the 2016 vintage we are back to the classic precision nose of chalky minerals and the perfume of lemon skin. The fruit is ripe and high-toned with lots of citrus zest. The finish is super clean with a deep limestone component. The Domaine was certified organic in 2009 (Ecocert). Vineyard maintenance is done exclusively by ploughing with horses. They also use various preparations for a biodynamic approach. The wines here are impeccably made and showcase the deep limestone soils that have made Chablis world famous.
