2016 Schramsberg Brut Blanc de Blancs, North Coast AVA
On Sale $29.99
Complexity and layering make this wine especially interesting as it goes from aromas of apple, butter and vanilla to deeper toast and baked apple on the palate. It’s medium in body, has tantalizing acidity and a lingering finish. Best through 2026.

2017 Ponzi Vineyards Pinot Gris, Willamette Valley AVA
On Sale $13.99
Lightly spicy, this crisp young wine delivers just-ripe mixed citrus fruit. There are hints of jicama and white radish also, giving it a peppery finish. Just a touch of rs (5 g/L) offsets some of the piercing acidity.

2016 Liquid Farm Chardonnay “La Hermana,” Santa Maria Valley AVA
On Sale $32.99
The 2016 Chardonnay La Hermana offers a slightly more angular profile, yet also has more density and depth. Stone fruits, toasted nuts, crushed rocks, and brioche notes all emerge from the glass and it’s beautifully balanced, has bright acidity, and a great finish. It’s a beautiful, classic Chardonnay that will age gracefully.

2017 Colene Clemens Vineyards Pinot Noir “Dopp Creek,” Willamette Valley AVA
On Sale $24.99
Vivid red. Sharply focused aromas of ripe red berries, succulent herbs and earth, along with a smoky mineral nuance that emerges with air. Silky and nicely concentrated, offering pliant raspberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors and a sweet mocha flourish. This lively, fruit-forward Pinot finishes smooth and long, with just a whisper of tannins that add gentle grip.

2016 Purlieu ‘Le Pich’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley AVA
On Sale $46.99
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Le Pich features very pretty notes of crushed blueberries, blackberries and chocolate-covered cherries with hints of violets and cedar chest plus a waft of bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, packed with vibrant black fruits and plushly textured, this buxom beauty is ready for biz, finishing satisfyingly long and spicy.

2016 B. Leighton Olsen’s Brothers Vineyard Gratitude, Yakima Valley AVA
On Sale $42.99
The Mourvèdre-dominated 2016 Gratitude Blend (there’s 25% Grenache and 5% Syrah) is a flat-out awesome wine as well as possibly the greatest expression of the variety to come out of Washington State. Beautiful notes of black and blue fruits, dried earth, peppery spice, and loads of floral and rose petal notes all flow to a full-bodied red that has an incredible sense of elegance and purity as well as richness and depth. It’s great today and will be great in a decade.

2017 Carlisle Winery Zinfandel “Papera Ranch,” Russian River Valley
On Sale $44.99
The 2017 Zinfandel Papera Ranch comes from a site close to the Mancini Ranch and vines planted in 1934. Notes of plums, blueberries, violets, and earthy, herbal notes all flow to a full-bodied, incredibly deep, layered and concentrated 2017 that certainly makes the most of the vintage. With ripe tannins, remarkable purity of fruit, no hard edges, and flawless balance, it’s another gem in the vintage.
