18 Oct Whiskey Cream Tasting
Saturday, October 20
1 to 4 pm
At the Bar
That’s right! Buffalo Trace versus 5 Farms, we love ’em both so let’s put them both in the ring and see who the victor is! Just kidding, we have no “ring,” but hey it’s fun to see what the differences are. Come on by and sample some of our favorite colder weather liqueurs. 1-4 this Saturday.
5 Farms Irish Whiskey Cream, Cork, Ireland
There’s a distinct and somewhat heavy whiskey note on the nose. The palate is quite nicely rounded, melding the whiskey and the dairy notes well, taking the mix into a realm of butterscotch, salted caramel, and some spice, with a finish of honey-scented whiskey and cocoa. Impossible to put down, very solid stuff.
Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream
Creamy pale color. Delicate, dank aromas of spiced nuts, praline, and horchata with a chewy, soft, sweet medium-full body and a seamless, complex, long sweet cream, fruity caramel, latte, and nuts finish. A delicious and nicely flavorful cream liqueur that is sure to please.
