Introduced to the Great King Street range by Compass Box in 2014, the Glasgow Blend is a superbly full-bodied blended Scotch whisky. It's made with 33% Lowland grain whisky and 67% malt whisky from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay. A sniff brings hints of chocolate covered raisin, fresh honey and the faintest hint of campfire. The nose coalesces into notes of buttered toffee and thick Spanish sherry which is held together by the woodsmoke character that transfers from the nose. The finish is lengthy and pleasant with orange spice and hazelnut.
