This is the first wine to display any meaningful reduction and it's enough to push the fruit to the background. The richer and bigger-bodied flavors possess very fine mid-palate density along with excellent minerality that adds a sense of lift to the dusty, youthfully austere and strikingly persistent finale. As is often the case with a classic example of Taillepieds, this is very tightly wound and compact and will require fully 12 to 15 years to reach its peak. Recommended.
