The wines from this address represent classic "old school" Beaujolais. They showcase the brilliant high-toned fruit and freshness we want, but also the beautiful depth and complexity that often is absent. The family's vineyard work is meticulous. All the grapes are hand harvested and average around 40% whole-cluster fermentation. The fruit comes from pure clay and granite soil. The vineyards are situated in both the Northern and Southern limits of Morgon. Classically ripe, as Morgon tends to be, with plush wild cherries and spices on the nose. Lovely concentration that gives a plush fruity, velvety texture in the mouth too. The finish is persistent with gentle brown stem tannins and notes of earth, smoke and juicy briar fruits.
