What first excited us about J. Wilkes wines is how affordable they are! Santa Barbara makes boutique wines - nothing is mass-produced there, so prices tend to be high. These babies are affordable and still have that classic, Santa Barbara style. Pinot noir grown in this tiny area (Santa Rita Hills) is very distinctive, with tiny berries, and dense color (unusual for pinot). The resulting wine is intense, dark, and structured... And 100% delcious!
