The 2020 Optimist is another Rhône-like blend based on 45% Grenache, 40% Syrah, and near-equal parts Roussanne and Petit Verdot. Ripe blackberries, darker cherries, leather, pepper herbs, and hints of cigar all emerge on the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, silky, beautifully balanced, and elegant.
