First of all, the white wines in Gigondas are very rare! A very unique blend of 80% Clairette, 10% Picpoul, 10% Bourboulenc. All direct press with fermentation in stainless steel tank. With Gigondas you're essentially talking about mountain fruit and this one is definitely the most mineral driven of the bunch! This is a relatively young vineyard and is planted on rocky, clay and limestone mixture. A very pretty, full bouquet of white peach, citrus flowers and honey suckle. Beautiful when served with smoked salmon, scallops and crab cakes.
