A wine that needed plenty of air, the 2018 Syrah Singularity started out reductive and impenetrable yet slowly gave up beautiful, gamey black and blue fruits as well as notes of iron, beef blood, ground pepper, and iodine. Exotic, medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and textured, hide bottles for at least 2-4 years, and it’s going to shine for over a decade. As with the other 2018s here, the balance, mid-palate, and tannins are beautifully done.
